Job description

Intersect is hiring an AI Solutions Architect to shape and execute enterprise AI strategy across an energy and power-infrastructure business. The role is the principal technical authority for AI initiatives and designs secure, enterprise-grade architectures that can move from concept to production and create measurable business value. It works with software engineering, data infrastructure, Corporate Technology and business leaders to define technical direction, evaluate emerging capabilities and align AI adoption with enterprise architecture, governance and business priorities. The position covers Google Cloud Platform AI technologies, including Vertex AI, Gemini models, custom fine-tuning pipelines, agentic frameworks, vector search and related platforms. The architect gathers requirements, identifies useful business-process opportunities, defines scalable solution architectures, creates implementation roadmaps and supports delivery with engineering and data teams. The role also establishes responsible-AI policies, prompting standards, model lifecycle controls, security, privacy and compliance practices. As an internal AI champion, it develops enablement resources, shares use cases, supports training and helps teams adopt AI responsibly. Requirements

• 5–7 years in technology program management, product management, technology strategy, solutions architecture or related leadership.
• 3+ years hands-on software engineering, cloud architecture, data engineering or enterprise systems experience.
• Experience with microservices, distributed systems and enterprise data integration.
• Expertise with GCP, Vertex AI, Gemini, AI agents, APIs and vector databases.
• Understanding of LLMs, generative AI, RAG and agentic workflows.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Enterprise-wide cross-functional leadership and stakeholder influence.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related field preferred.
• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation and relationship-building skills.

Location Eligibility

Remote role limited to candidates within 60 miles of Intersect hubs in the SF Bay Area, Austin, Denver, NYC Metro Area, Calgary or Toronto.
