Air Permitting and Compliance Team Member
Intersect | Remote near approved hubs | remote
Source-backed remote air permitting and compliance role at Intersect in the United States and Canada.
Job description
Intersect is hiring an Air Permitting and Compliance Team Member for its Environmental and Permitting team. The role supports regulatory authorizations and ongoing compliance across an expanding portfolio of clean-energy and power-infrastructure assets. It connects air-permitting strategy with engineering design, regulatory requirements and project schedules, covering facilities with natural-gas generation, grid-support technologies and co-located infrastructure. The position works with project, engineering and operational stakeholders to keep permitting activity aligned with development needs and compliance obligations. The official posting describes a remote arrangement tied to approved hubs in the United States and Canada, with candidates expected to live within 60 miles of a listed hub for periodic in-person collaboration. The work is specialist and execution-oriented: it includes preparing or managing NSR and PSD air-permit applications, addressing compliance for large power-generation sites and using AERMOD air-dispersion modeling in site development. The role therefore requires regulatory judgment, technical environmental knowledge, organized project coordination and clear communication. Its impact is to help Intersect develop energy and data-center infrastructure while keeping environmental authorization and operational compliance connected to real project delivery. Reliable documentation and timely coordination are important throughout the permitting lifecycle.
