Job description

Joblogic is hiring an Automation Engineer for an on-site role at its Thokar office in Lahore, Pakistan. The engineer will join the Automations and Integrations team and build scalable Python applications, backend components, APIs, microservices, integrations, and user-facing functionality for Joblogic's field-service management platform.

Responsibilities

  • Write and test scalable Python code and backend components.
  • Build and integrate APIs and microservices using Python.
  • Develop dynamic applications and integrate user-facing elements, including the ability to contribute UI code.
  • Design reliable asynchronous and multiprocessing workflows while understanding Python threading limitations.
  • Write comprehensive system, unit, and integration tests and use debugging tools effectively.
  • Work with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Implement secure handling of sensitive data using encryption, decryption, encoding, and hashing techniques.
  • Build reusable Python decorators and maintain clean, extensible application code.
  • Use libraries including Pandas, NumPy, SQLAlchemy, and software-development SDKs.
  • Integrate Microsoft services such as Graph and SharePoint and optimize I/O-heavy operations.
  • Document code functionality and usage clearly.
  • Manage projects independently while collaborating across engineering and business teams.

Requirements

  • Strong Python development experience.
  • Proficiency with Flask and FastAPI.
  • Foundational understanding of Azure Function Apps.
  • Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming, multiprocessing, and Python threading limitations.
  • Experience writing system, unit, and integration tests.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong understanding of encryption, decryption, encoding, hashing, and secure-data practices.
  • Experience with Pandas, NumPy, SQLAlchemy, and relevant SDKs.
  • Proven ability to work with APIs and microservices.
  • Knowledge of memory-management practices.
  • Experience using Python for data analysis or data science.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Nice to Have
  • Vue.js frontend skills.
  • Azure serverless architecture and resource-management experience.
  • Basic Linux, Docker, and YAML knowledge.
  • Knowledge of GraphQL, API versioning, and caching strategies.
  • Understanding of Azure DevOps repositories and practices.
  • .NET API-development experience, including versioning and efficient design patterns.
