Job description
Xsolla is hiring a Backend Engineer to develop and maintain scalable backend services used by game developers and players worldwide. The role includes building new functionality and services, contributing product-improvement ideas, collaborating with engineering, product, design, and QA, monitoring and debugging production code, improving reliability and performance, writing automated tests, following CI/CD practices, and participating in code reviews and technical discussions.
Requirements
- Experience in programming and backend development of industrial web applications using PHP and/or Golang.
- Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
- Understanding of decomposition principles, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
- Ability to write testable code, including unit and functional tests.
- Good command of SQL, database design, and OLTP/OLAP approaches.
- Ability to participate effectively in team-based development.
- English proficiency at B2 level.
- Nice-to-have qualifications
- Experience building high-load enterprise applications and event-driven systems.
- Knowledge of application architecture patterns and experience applying them.
- Experience with CI/CD systems and tools such as Docker, Jenkins, or GitLab.
- Frontend-development experience using a framework, preferably React.
