Business Operations Associate

Job description

Tajir is hiring a Business Operations Associate for a full-time, on-site role in Lahore, Pakistan. The Business Operations team takes ownership of cross-functional problems that do not fit neatly within one department. The team follows a build-operate-transfer model: identify the root cause of a problem, design a solution, run it until it is stable, and then hand the process to the team that will own it long term.

Responsibilities

• Own operational problems from initial investigation through implementation and handover.
• Analyze dispatch, order, delivery, payment, supply-chain, and other operational data to identify root causes.
• Spend time in warehouses, delivery routes, and markets to understand problems that may not be visible in dashboards.
• Break ambiguous problems into smaller, actionable components and decide which issues to prioritize.
• Design fixes that may involve process changes, automation, operational changes, or new software requirements.
• Write specifications and collaborate with engineers when a solution requires software or tooling.
• Automate repetitive work where practical.
• Operate new processes directly, track results, and make adjustments until the improvement is stable.
• Document what worked, what did not, and transfer mature solutions to the long-term owning team.
• Design solutions around the needs of specific users such as distribution-centre staff, head-office teams, store owners, or company leadership.
• Use Claude and other AI tools as part of day-to-day problem solving and execution.
