Job description
ShopBack is hiring a General Ledger Finance Executive to support accurate financial recording and reporting and maintain the integrity of the general ledger. The role includes reconciling GL accounts, supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes, preparing journal entries and management accounts, analysing financial data and variances, supporting internal and external audits, staying current with accounting standards, advising team members on accounting matters, and improving GL processes through automation and AI tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Finance
- or a related field.
- Proven work experience in a GL accountant or general-accounting role, preferably in shared services and audit.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and month-end close processes.
- Ability to work with ERP systems and specialized accounting platforms.
- Oracle NetSuite expertise is considered a significant asset.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools to improve workflow efficiency.
- Nice-to-have qualifications / experience
- ACCA part-qualified or currently pursuing ACCA is a plus.
- Experience supporting multi-market or regional finance operations.
