Job description

Palantir Technologies is hiring a Forward Deployed Software Engineer in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role involves working directly with customers to understand high-impact operational problems and design and implement data-driven software solutions using Palantir platforms. Engineers own end-to-end execution of complex projects, combining software development, large-scale data work, architecture, customer collaboration and technical strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with customers to understand complex operational and business problems.
  • Design and implement software and data solutions that address high-impact customer needs.
  • Own end-to-end execution of projects in small teams with substantial autonomy.
  • Work with large-scale datasets and build custom applications and technical workflows.
  • Discuss architecture and technical strategy with engineers, customers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Forward Deployed Software Engineers, product teams and Deployment Strategists.
  • Iterate rapidly with users in changing environments and translate feedback into technical improvements.
  • Travel to customer sites when required; ability to travel approximately 25-50% is preferred depending on team and location.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of relevant post-college work experience.
  • Strong engineering background; fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics and Data Science are preferred.
  • Strong programming ability in Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript or a similar language.
  • Highly analytical mindset and strong technical problem-solving ability.
  • Interest or experience working with large-scale data to solve valuable business problems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teammates and customers.
  • Comfort working in a rapidly changing environment with dynamic objectives.
  • Ability to learn continuously, work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
