Job description

Zilliz is hiring a hybrid Founding Field Engineer for its Japan team. The role brings a strong engineering background in databases, distributed systems, data infrastructure, cloud infrastructure or SRE into customer-facing technical work. It supports proofs of concept, onboarding, go-live readiness, production adoption and escalations, while translating customer architecture and product needs back into engineering execution.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with data, database, cloud, platform or SRE systems.
Production experience with reliability, scalability and performance concerns.
Ability to troubleshoot and explain complex technical systems.
Interest or experience in customer POCs, onboarding and post-sales engagement.
Native or fluent Japanese.
Business-level English for global collaboration.
