Job description

Smart Working Solutions is hiring a QA Automation Engineer for a full-time remote role in Pakistan. The engineer will own quality across a mature, multi-repository digital-health platform, build and maintain a reliable automation framework, improve test coverage, document expected system behaviour, reproduce complex defects, and help engineering teams ship safer releases.

Responsibilities

Take end-to-end ownership of the QA process and design and develop the automated testing framework.
Understand how a large multi-repository system behaves from client, end-user, and internal-operations perspectives.
Clarify undocumented or outdated expected behaviour with stakeholders and maintain useful QA documentation.
Author readable BDD scenarios using Cucumber and Gherkin.
Build test automation in JavaScript and TypeScript.
Drive web UI tests through a Page Object Model and add data-test-ids to React code where required.
Validate application database state with SQL.
Maintain automated tests as new features are released.
Contribute to requirements analysis before development begins.
Identify compliance, regulatory, security, and quality implications during planning.
Perform exploratory testing, identify edge cases, and reproduce complex multi-step defects precisely.
Build a repeatable and documented QA process from an unreliable baseline.
