Job description
UiPath is hiring a Senior Solution Engineer for its Sales Support team in South Africa. The role focuses on Agentic Automation and partners with Account Executives to lead the technical side of enterprise opportunities. The Senior Solution Engineer translates complex business processes into agentic blueprints that orchestrate AI agents, software robots, APIs and human participants using the UiPath platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical engagements across the sales cycle, from discovery and solution shaping through demonstrations, proof-of-value, technical validation and handover to delivery.
- Conduct deep discovery of customer business processes, automation and BPM landscapes, and AI ambitions.
- Model end-to-end processes using BPMN 2.0 and support decision logic using DMN, decision tables or decision graphs.
- Translate business challenges into agentic solutions that include exception handling, human-in-the-loop checkpoints and measurable ROI.
Requirements
- Experience in a customer-facing role such as presales, solutions consulting, solution architecture or strategic consulting, selling or delivering enterprise automation, BPM, AI or integration software.
- Hands-on experience modelling business processes using BPMN standards and understanding how BPMN maps to executable orchestration.
- Working knowledge of decision modelling using DMN, decision tables or decision graphs.
- Practical experience with at least one BPM or workflow platform such as ServiceNow, Pega, Appian, K2/Nintex, IBM BPM, Camunda or Bizagi.
- Understanding of agentic AI concepts including autonomous agents, tool/function calling, retrieval, evaluation, guardrails and human-in-the-loop patterns.
- Familiarity with LLMs, model providers, embeddings, RAG and agent frameworks sufficient to discuss architecture and trade-offs with technical buyers.
- Ability to quantify business value using measures such as cycle time, cost-to-serve, accuracy and capacity unlocked.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and credibility with both technical and executive audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory.
- Some travel across the Southern Africa region is required.
