# Software Engineer - Java Apple is hiring a Software Engineer with strong Java experience for its Software and Services organization in Hyderabad, India. The engineer will contribute to the design, development and operation of scalable services and distributed software platforms. The position involves working across the software development lifecycle while helping ensure that production systems remain reliable, efficient and maintainable. A significant part of the role involves designing backend solutions, implementing platform functionality, troubleshooting technical issues and developing tools and metrics that help engineering teams evaluate the health and performance of their services. The engineer will collaborate with teams and technical stakeholders working across multiple geographical locations, so strong teamwork and communication are important. Candidates should have solid Java and Spring development experience together with an understanding of both frontend and backend technologies. Apple also expects familiarity with distributed systems, AWS cloud technologies and the use of artificial intelligence within software development or AI-based engineering tools. Experience building high-throughput or low-latency distributed systems, familiarity with ReactJS and previous exposure to advertising technology are considered beneficial. Requirements

• 2–6 years of relevant software engineering industry experience
• Strong Java development skills
• Professional experience using the Spring framework
• BS in Computer Science or an equivalent degree
• Solid understanding of backend software development
• Foundational understanding of frontend technologies
• Hands-on experience across the software development lifecycle
• Experience using AI as part of software development or engineering workflows
• Experience developing or working with AI-based tools
• Understanding of distributed systems
• Understanding of AWS cloud platforms
• Ability to design and build scalable software services
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teams across multiple geographic locations
