Job description

Palantir Technologies is hiring a Software Engineer, New Grad for its Product Development organization in New York City. The role gives early-career engineers the opportunity to build and ship production software across Palantir Gotham, Foundry, and Apollo, working in small product teams on systems used by organizations in the public and private sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute high-quality production code to Palantir Gotham, Foundry, Apollo, or related product infrastructure.
  • Participate throughout the product lifecycle from idea generation, design, and prototyping through execution and shipping.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, Product Reliability Engineers, Forward Deployed Engineers, and Deployment Strategists.
  • Work directly with technical and non-technical counterparts to understand customer problems and build practical software solutions.
  • Take ownership of projects from beginning to end and work independently while receiving mentorship and team support.
  • Learn new technologies and languages quickly as products and technical requirements evolve.

Requirements

  • Engineering background in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, frontend frameworks, and related technical tools.
  • Experience coding in languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with engineers, users, and non-technical team members.
  • Willingness to learn, make independent decisions, and ask effective questions.
  • Active U.S. Security clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain a U.S. Security clearance.
