Technical Program Manager - Security Clearance Required is a contract role with Virtru, based in Washington, DC - Hybrid. You will partner closely with customers and partner stakeholders to deeply understand mission objectives, translate them into technical requirements, and drive secure deployments, integrations, and value realization. Collaborating across Virtru’s engineering, product, security, and delivery teams, you will manage schedules, mitigate risks, ensure compliance (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST, CMMC), and consistently exceed client expectations—delivering mission-critical encryption, policy enforcement, and secure sharing capabilities on time and within scope.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Create and maintain project plans defining deployment phases (architecture, integration, testing, rollout); identify/mitigate risks, negotiate scope changes, and ensure on-time/on-budget

Requirements

  • </em></strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>Desired Skills and Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of data-centric security concepts, including persistent encryption, granular access controls (e.g., ABAC), key management, and revocation mechanisms across data at-rest, in-transit, and in-use</li> <li>Familiarity with policy enforcement, dynamic access decisions, audit logging, and secure sharing workflows in regulated or high-security settings</li> <li>Technical proficiency to translate encryption, access control, and compliance features into mission requirements during requirements gathering, solution architecture, client discussions, and risk assessments</li> <li>Proven expertise in federal compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST 800-53/171, CMMC, FISMA) and acquisition processes (FAR/DFARS), with ability to analyze requirements, evaluate secure systems, and drive compliant implementations</li> <li>Strong technical knowledge of data security technologies, including encryption (at-rest/in-transit), access controls, identity management, and integration with platforms like Microsoft 365 Government, Google Workspace, AWS GovCloud, or Azure Government</li> <li>Experience leading Agile/hybrid projects for mission-critical deliverables: requirements gathering, technical roadmapping, risk/issue resolution, dependency management, and on-time/on-budget execution in cross-functional teams (engineers, security, partners)</li> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience; relevant certifications like PMP, CISSP, or Security+ strongly preferred)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Virtruvian qualities that will set you up for success:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Thinking outside of the box to respectfully challenge your teammates and managers in the pursuit of excellence</li> <li>Strong sense of urgency with an action-oriented mindset</li> <li>Able to collaborate and adapt to shifting priorities as business needs evolve</li> <li>Comfortable with asynchronous communication including slack, email, zoom, etc.</li> </ul> <p data-renderer-start-pos="2412" data-local-id="315dd9d83092"><strong data-renderer-mark="true">Perks & Benefits:</strong></p> <p data-renderer-start-pos="2431" data-local-id="fa03f00db333">At Virtru, we believe people do their best work when their wellbeing is put first.
