Share is hiring a Telcom Sales & Account Manager for a full-time on-site role in Nairobi, Kenya. The position owns wholesale commercial relationships with downstream ISPs and enterprise customers and is responsible for turning Share's aggregated telecom backbone into signed capacity deals across Kenya and the wider East African market.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full wholesale sales cycle for downstream ISPs and enterprise customers, from prospecting and qualification through commercial structuring, contract signing, activation, renewal and retention.
  • Use an existing portfolio of carrier, ISP, peering and enterprise relationships to generate and close new wholesale opportunities.
  • Sell wholesale telecom products including IP transit, capacity, IRUs, wavelengths, DIA, MPLS, L2/L3 services and downstream ISP onboarding.
  • Structure commercially sound agreements covering capacity, service levels, provisioning and delivery requirements.
  • Maintain a credible, data-backed sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting.
  • Serve as the primary commercial contact for onboarded wholesale clients.
  • Run regular account and service reviews, identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and own renewals and retention.
  • Coordinate commercial and service issue resolution across pre-sales, provisioning, operations and network engineering.
  • Develop new prospects across the Kenyan market and travel within Kenya as required.
  • Represent Share at industry forums, peering events, internet-exchange events and partner engagements.
  • Provide market feedback on customer needs, competitor activity and capacity demand to product and network leadership.

Requirements

  • A live and current network of ISP, carrier, peering and enterprise relationships in Kenya that can be activated immediately.
  • Demonstrated track record of closing wholesale bandwidth deals such as IP transit, capacity, IRUs, DIA, MPLS or submarine-cable-related services.
  • 4-5+ years of experience in B2B, wholesale or carrier telecom sales, or key account management, with strong knowledge of the Kenyan market.
  • Working knowledge of wholesale telecom products and commercial frameworks including SLAs, capacity contracts and peering.
  • Technical fluency sufficient to discuss transit versus peering, ports, capacity and handoff requirements with engineering teams.
  • Strong relationship-building, written communication, verbal communication, post-sales and retention skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Telecommunications, Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent professional track record.
  • Must be based in Nairobi or willing to relocate and be willing to travel within Kenya and across East Africa as required.
